The Long Beach Police Foundation
The Long Beach Police Foundation (LBPF) relies on community-based funding from private and corporate donors.  Monetary and in-kind donations allow the LBPF to provide grants and equipment to Police Department employees to support projects and programs in three funding categories:

Police Service Enhancements
  • Police Bicycles – South Division/City Place Shopping Center(2008)
  • Police Segways for North Division (2008)
  • Dive Vests (BCUs) – S.W.A.T. Dive Team (2008)
  • Website Design Software (2008)
  • Camera & GPS Equipment for Detectives (2009)
  • Police Bicycles – North Division (2009)

Employee Development & Recognition
  • Counter Terrorism Training (2008)
  • Jail Division Training Room Renovation (2008)
  • Leadership Book Provided to All Police Academy Graduation Attendees (2008)
  • Information Technology Training (2009)
  • Police Awards Ceremony (2008-2009-2010)

Community Partnerships
  • Annual Police Volunteer Appreciation BBQ (2007-08)
  • Uniform Shirts for the “Doc Squad” Medical Reserve Officers (2007)
  • Annual Neighborhood Watch Appreciation (2008)
  • Police Yearbooks for Mayor & City Council Members (2008)
  • Shop with A Cop - LB Junior Chamber of Commerce/Boys and Girls Clubs of Long Beach/Hometown Buffet/Wal-Mart (2008-2009-2010)
