The 42nd Annual Long Beach Police Awards Ceremony is set for Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at the Richard and Karen Carpenter Performing Arts Center on the campus of Cal State University, Long Beach. A joint effort of the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) and the Long Beach Police Foundation (LBPF), this event is designed to be family-friendly and honors Police department employees and citizens who have distinguished themselves during the past year by their brave or unselfish acts of heroism, and their dedication to community safety. A VIP reception for event sponsors will begin at 3:30 p.m. followed by the awards ceremony at 5 p.m.Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased through the Long Beach Police Foundation (LBPF) website, www.lbpolicefoundation.org or by calling 562.570.7098. Light refreshments will be served. Sponsorship opportunities are still available and range from $5,000. to $100.
